    I looked at an earlier review and it appears that it may have been written by a friend or associate of a seller of this product. It gushes with all kinds of elevated descriptions of the product and appears to be a shameful display of deceitful advertising puffery.

    I purchased this as a gift, so I don’t use it much. It does seem to be of good quality, and I inherited a similar one from my father that he used for at least 30 years, so I don’t think I would have a problem purchasing another in the future. Seems sturdy and well put together.

    Don’t be surprise that you will find this with a much cheaper price in flea markets or One Dollar stores. I have tried to look for but could not find where it was made (Why there is no declaration?) Although the look is like the military one, but it is no where near the quality you would expect. Besides, it performs quite slow and I don’t think it’s weather sealed. If you are in hunting or hiking, you should get an authentic one.
