I was lucky enough to be a member of this outstanding choir in 1943. We sang on “Meet You Navy ” radio broadcast every Friday night. Durwood Kirby was the announcer. Eddie Peabody (banjo ) led the Special Services. Don Jacoby was lead trumpet in the wonderful big band. We also sang with the Chicago Symphony. The whole experience was very special. If you love great patriotic music this CD is one for you collection. It’s a treasure.
